Dr Asif Hussein

MBBS DHMSA DipDerm FASLMS | Cosmetic Dermatology & Laser Surgery | Medical Director sk:n London Victoria | Honorary Lecturer Queen Mary University of London

Dr Asif Hussein specialises in Injectables, Cutaneous Laser Treatment and Cosmetic Dermatology. He is Medical Director of the London Victoria and Esher sk:n clinics. He has a passion for teaching and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Blizard Institute at Barts & The London. He was closely involved with the development of the MSc in Aesthetic Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. He has a busy clinical practice and sees over 5000 clients a year.

He performs over 1200 toxin treatments and 800 filler treatments annually and as a result developed comprehensive skills in these domains. He has developed multiple resources, lectures and online-tutorials regarding injectables, facial anatomy and complication management. Many of you may be already familiar with these resources already as he has made them freely available in the public domain.

He understands the importance of high quality teaching and has gone to great lengths along with his colleague Dr Hiratsuka to innovate and create a course that he hopes will be a reference course in this area.

Dr Vania Hiratsuka Dalmedo

Having qualified as a Dental Surgeon in Brazil, she is a practising dentist in the UK, with more than 25 years of experience in the field.

Dr. Hiratsuka developed her special interest in Facial Aesthetics 10 years ago, merging non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures with cosmetic dentistry at her busy dental clinics.

The constant search for knowledge and professional advancement has led her to obtain the Certificate of Facial Aesthetics Masterclass by the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons (England) and a Masters degree (with distinction) in Aesthetic Medicine from Queen Mary University of London with the topic “Management of Bruxism and Masseteric Hypertrophy with Botulinum Toxin A”.

She is now an Honorary Member of the Faculty of the QMUL Post Graduation Course in Aesthetic Medicine.

Her expertise lies in non-surgical aesthetic treatments of the perioral area, treatment of Bruxism with Botulinum Toxin A and lower face contouring, and male facial rejuvenation.

She is a member of the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group (ACE).

Faculty

Dr Charles Nduka

MA, MD, FRCS, FRCS (PLAS) – Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgeon

Charles Nduka has an established facial aesthetic practice based in Sussex and London and he runs the largest facial paralysis rehabilitation service in the UK. He is actively involved in teaching and research; his current projects include developing techniques to improve outcomes in non-surgical treatments of the face and anti-scarring therapies.

He is a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council. He also sits on the Council of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

Additionally, Charles is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London.

Dr Cormac Convery

MB, ChB, MSc | GMC: 4310684

Dr Cormac has a background in General Practice – there practical procedures such as minor surgery and injections were always a firm favourite. With a passion for anything artistic, it should come as no surprise that he was drawn to aesthetic practice.

Having completed the MSc course in Aesthetic Medicine at QMUL, Dr Cormac is now a proud faculty member.

Having a particular interest in the management and avoidance of complications, Dr Cormac is also a member of the Aesthetic Consensus Expert Working Group. This had provided the ideal platform to collaborate with and support others. Not to mention facilitation of some critical publications.

Energised and steaming forward with training and research interests as well as numerous practice commitments, he is bordering on the effervescent.

Dr Navdeep Brar

MBBS(Lond), MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH, MSc(Lond) | GMC: 6148306

Dr Brar qualified in 2006 from the prestigious St Georges Hospital Medical School in London and holds 10 years clinical experience. Her hospital-based dermatology training formed part of her general medical training and she has a special interest in skin health and minor surgical procedures.

Having branched out into the field of Non-surgical aesthetics, she has undertaken training in the UK, Middle East and Asia. Obtaining both a diploma with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and a specialist Masters degree in Aesthetic Medicine from Queen Mary University of London, ranked amongst the top research-led universities in the UK.

Her dedication to improving the standards within the Aesthetic field has led her to be awarded with a distinction for her MSc dissertation. This explored the potential of Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the safe introduction of Stem Cell based therapy in Aesthetic Medicine.
